Author account of Dr. Rachel Bonaparte (also known as Rachel N. Bonaparte-Hagos) is an American academic administrator and entrepreneur who currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Teaching, Learning, and Student Success at Prince George's Community College. She is widely recognized for her leadership in higher education and her efforts toward economic empowerment: Founder of The Blacklining: In 2025, she founded The Blacklining, a digital ecosystem and movement designed to help Black entrepreneurs connect, collaborate, and build economic power. The platform offers a live business directory, financial literacy workshops, and networking tools. Academic Leadership: Before her role at Prince George's Community College, she served as the Interim Director of the Institute for Part-time Faculty Engagement & Support at Montgomery College. Research and Advocacy: Her research often focuses on the resilience of Black women in senior campus leadership positions She developed the #ResilienceTree model to provide strategies for Black women Deans and Vice Presidents to sustain their roles in higher education. Education: She holds an Ed.D. from Delaware State University, an M.Ed. from Widener University, a master's from Miami University, and a bachelor's degree from Temple University.
