Alexis Núñez Oliva started his media career in the late 1980s by hosting a radio show, Entre ocho y diez on Cuban radio channel Radio Ciudad de la Habana. He also presented a television show called En confianza on Televisión Cubana from 1989 to 1991and published a book in 1989, De vuelta y vuelta, comprising a collection of humorous stories. Oliva produced and created several shows for the Cuban television audience in the late 1980s before moving to Mexico in 1990. FM radio was in its initial phases in Mexico during the early 1990s. Alexis Núñez Oliva developed one of the most popular shows on Televisión Azteca called Ciudad Desnuda in 1995. He also created several programs for El Canal de las Estrellas as part of the transformation of Channel 2, including the record-breaking entertainment program called Hoy. Oliva created, produced, and directed several other popular programs throughout the 1990s, including Hoy Sábado, Ritmoson Latino, and Televisa Espectáculos.

Alexis Núñez Oliva rose through the ranks of the television industry to become the General Director of the 4TV channel. He became the Televisa Advisor for Univision and developed the first diploma in television production to train students in multiple segments. He is also the executive producer and director of 7 Emociones, a program production and content development company. He also created the first quarantine-focused program La Cuarentena for UNICABLE, Televisa in 2020, comprising actors, producers, writers, editors, and others collaborating from their homes to develop content.
