Susan Gruen Helsinger, a longtime resident of East Meadow, New York, passed away peacefully at her home on June 15, 2026, under hospice care. She was 81 years old.
A respected real estate associate broker, author, and inspirational speaker, Susan was widely recognized for her more than three decades of service to the Long Island real estate community. She was also the author of the memoir Glass Half Full, a reflection of the optimism, resilience, and positive outlook that defined her life.
Susan touched countless lives through her professional accomplishments, personal encouragement, and unwavering belief in finding hope in every circumstance. She will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, and enduring spirit.
Susan passed away at her residence in East Meadow, New York. Private services will be observed by family and loved ones.
She leaves behind cherished family members, friends, colleagues, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
